    Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to announce that on Thursday 5th March 2020 Lake Farm Park Academy will be taking part in World Book Day. We invite all pupils to come to school with their favourite story and dressed as their favourite book character. Throughout the day pupils will take part in activities to promote the importance of reading and to share their favourite stories with their peers. The aim of dress up and bringing in stories is to encourage and promote the love of reading to all.

  • NSPCC Number Day on Friday 14th February 2020

    Fri 07 Feb 2020

    Dear Parents and Carers

We are excited to announce that we will be taking part in NSPCC Number Day on Friday 14th February 2020, when the children will take part in fun maths activities throughout the day.

It is a charitable event so we are fundraising by holding a Dress Like Your Avatar Day.

    Making maths meaningful

To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for a small donation of £1 and we encourage everyone in the school to take part in this exciting event. We are looking forward to seeing all the amazing costumes. The children can be as inventive as they like.

All the money collected will be donated to the NSPCC to help to fund their vital services such as Childline and the NSPCC Speak out Stay safe Programme, making an enormous difference to children today and to the lives of children tomorrow.

Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you have any queries about Number Day.

    Ideas:

    • T-shirt with numbers written/drawn on.
    • Number badges.
    • T-shirt with any operation sign written/drawn on. (+ - ÷ x)
    • T-shirt with mathematical  equations/sums

    Thank you for your support.

    Yours sincerely

    Miss Ahmed

  • Consultation on Relationships Education

    Mon 03 Feb 2020

    Dear Parents and Careers,

The Department for Education has announced changes to Relationships Education.

These changes will come into effect from September 2020 and all schools and academies will be required to comply with the updated requirements.

This means that we will be reviewing our Relationships Education curriculum and policy so that we can be sure our provision is appropriate for our pupils based on their:

    • Age
    • Physical and emotional maturity
    • Religious and cultural backgrounds
    • Special educational needs and/or disabilities

The academy’s draft Relationships Education Policy can be found on our website. https://www.lakefarmpark.academy/policies/

We need your feedback to help us to review this subject.

    Consultation on Relationships Education

    Start Date 3rd February 2020

    Closing Date 10th March 2020

    Here’s how you can help:

If you would like to learn more about the academy’s planned approach and have an opportunity to comment on these proposals, please join us at a consultation meeting at Lake Farm Park Academy on Monday 10th February 9am to 10am or 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Another way to contribute your views is to email them to the academy on lfpaoffice@theparkfedeation.org

Please also feel free to write a letter on this subject and either hand deliver to our reception desk or send to our postal address Lake Farm Park Academy, Botwell Common Road, Hayes, Middlesex UB3 1JA

Your views will be reported to the Board of Directors/Trustees of The Park Federation Academy Trust. The Board has authority to ratify the finalised policy. The Board will make its decision in late April 2020. Its decision will be reported to parents and carers in early May 2020.

    Thank you for your time.

    Yours sincerely,

    Ms. H. Buttar
