Year 5 were delighted to welcome Paul from Ivydale Science and Technology Service who delivered 2 workshops to each class linked to our space theme. We made moon buggies using electrical systems; these included gears, motors and battery and switch circuits. We then made orreries using rotary gears that when turned, make the Earth orbit the Sun and the Moon orbit the Earth. We used tools such as hammers and glue guns to create these masterpieces!
