Starting Primary School in September 2026
Lake Farm Park Academy Reception Transition
Beginning of June: Lake Farm Park Academy School staff contact to gather information from children's nurseries prior to them starting with us.
Beginning of July: Information sessions for all parents of Reception. An opportunity to meet the team at Lake Farm Park Academy and find out information about starting school. During these sessions, you will have a chance to meet your child’s class teacher and gather information including details of the school day and uniform requirements.
Please note that if parents are bringing their children to the information session, we are unable to provide Créche facilities, so it is advisable that parents do not bring children to this session.
September: We operate a staggered start for Reception Children, so that children have the chance to start school in small groups. Further details about your child’s start date will be given to you at the information sessions.

NURSERY
Beginning of July: Nursery open day – an opportunity for all parents and pupils starting in the nursery in September, to visit the nursery and meet the nursery staff.
September: Lake Farm Park Academy staff visit children’s homes to meet children and parents prior to starting: We try to visit all new children and parents in their homes, so that we can get to know them better and find out information about their learning and development.
September: We operate a staggered start for Nursery Children, so that children have the chance to start in small groups. Further details about your child’s start date will be given to you at the home visits. All parents will be able to come into the nursery to ensure their child is settled in and also ask staff any questions.

Part-time pupils will attend the nursery for morning sessions – 8:30am – 11:30am) or afternoon sessions - 12:30pm – 3:30pm). Full-time pupils will attend the nursery from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. An hour lunchtime is included in this session. If you would like to extend your child's nursery day until 3:30 PM, additional fees apply. Please speak with our Admissions Officer for details. |
Applying for a place at Lake Farm Park Academy Nursery
Children are usually admitted to our Nursery in September or January following their 3rd birthday.
We currently offer full-time and part-time places within our nursery.
- Morning Nursery: 8.30–11.30am
- Afternoon Nursery: 12.30–3.30pm
- Full-Time Nursery: 8.30am - 2.30pm
Full-time places are available for families who are eligible for the Government’s 30 hours free childcare, and you can check your eligibility by clicking here.
Nursery Application
In Year Applications - How to apply for a place at Lake Farm Park Academy
All applications should be made directly to the school. Parents wishing their child to start at Lake Farm Park Academy, in a year group (other than applications for pupils who are due to start school for the first time in September, in which case please refer to the details above for Reception Admissions), should contact the school directly to collect an application form.
Please complete the application form, including your Council Tax reference number, and return to the school together with the following documents:
- Your most recent Child Benefit letter or Family Tax Credit documentation.
- Your child’s birth certificate.
- Parent/Legal Guardian’s visual identification, e.g. Passport or Driving Licence.
