Dear Parents/Carers,

Following on from my last update, I am now writing to let you know that we have now been instructed to close the school to almost all children after this Friday until further notice.

As advised by the government, we will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers (e.g. NHS staff, police, others in frontline services) and children with certain needs.  We are waiting for the government to publish more information on what this means, but it would help us in the meantime if you could let us know if you think your child may fall into one of these categories. Please email the school office on or on 02085732622.

We have been working hard behind the scenes with our staff to organise home learning for our children.  These are available on the website

All other children will need to stay at home, so we ask that you do not send your child into the school from Monday 23rd March onwards.

Please note that this is a national closure – as you may have heard in the news – so while it is a challenging situation, we are not alone. We will re-open fully as soon as we can and will let you know when this is by the school website, App or text message to parents to let you know when the school will reopen.

Each child has been issued a home learning pack with a range of activities as well as a suggested weekly timetable and an exercise book for recording their online learning which is on our website.

Each child has been reissued their Bug Club, Mymaths and Times Table Rockstars logins and passwords. Please encourage your child/ren to continue to access these websites according to the suggested time tables.

An email address has been set up for each year group. This is so parents can make contact with the class teachers in each year group should they have any questions about the learning or their child is struggling with a specific concept. Our teachers will respond daily between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm with advice and guidance within 48 hours.

Year group pages can be found by accessing our website, click on Parents, Home Schooling and then the relevant year group.

Year group emails are:

Vice Principal – Key Stage 1

Vice Principal – Key Stage 2

Reception Year (Ladybird, Butterfly & Grasshopper)

Year 1 (Rabbit, Mole & Squirrel)

Year2 (Fox, Otter & Badger)

Year3 (3HA, 3CM & 3AD)

Year4 (4AM, 4NP & 4ML)

Year5 (5KP, 5SM & 5SP)

In addition to the year group emails, the Principal and the office team can also be contacted on the following emails:

We are in unchartered waters, but our aim is to continue to provide, where possible, education for our children.

Please ensure you have downloaded our APP on your phone as we will use this to post whole school updates.

And remember: if you or your child feels ill and you want to know what to do next, please use NHS 111 online.

Kind regards,

Ms. H. Buttar
